This week: The Koestler Parapsychology Unit on @BBCRadioScot

BBCScotThis week, I was interviewed by Pennie Latin as part of BBC Radio Scotland’s Brainwaves series. Brainwaves takes an in-depth look at the work of researchers in Scotland who are investigating the science behind everyday experiences. I described the Koestler Parapsychology Unit’s work into paranormal beliefs and experiences. Such experiences, although sometimes feeling quite extraordinary, are in fact rather commonly reported. Surveys find that around 50% of the population report believing in paranormal phenomena (such as ghosts, life after death, extrasensory perception), and about half of these report having had a paranormal experience. To find out more, listen to the 30-min interview here.
